
Amanda Consovoy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who received her master’s in social work from Catholic University with a clinical concentration in health care. Amanda joined Inova Peterson Life with Cancer as a Behavioral Therapist II in 2025. Before joining LWC, Amanda worked extensively with individuals and families managing chronic illnesses, socioeconomic stress, new diagnoses, and other social-emotional issues, both in inpatient and outpatient settings. Amanda spent the beginning part of her career working in DC’s busiest hospitals and then for several years as a therapist at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Later, Amanda worked in providing community education around hospice care in the DC area and more recently, Amanda worked with older adults in Arlington County (Aging and Disability) and for a local non-profit. Amanda is passionate about providing a steady space of support to those navigating the medical system before, during and after their cancer treatment. Amanda is excited to join the Survivorship team at Life with Cancer.
