
Dr. Guinnevere Baranowski (she/her) joined the pediatric team at Life with Cancer in August 2024 as a pediatric psychology fellow following completion of her predoctoral internship at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Dr. Baranowski provides evidence-based assessment and interventions to children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and their families, and strives to offer culturally humble care. She addresses coping/adjustment to illness and treatment, nonpharmacological pain management, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, grief/loss, and other illness-related concerns.
Dr. Baranowski sees patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition to providing individual therapy, she offers parent-management training and facilitates therapy groups. She is certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), which is an evidence-based attachment-focused parent training treatment for young children with emotional and behavioral challenges. Her clinical interests include coping with chronic illness, nonpharmacological pain management, treatment adherence, anxiety, and grief.
