Kiersten is a Behavioral Health Therapist II, Oncology, at Inova Schar Cancer. Prior to joining Life with Cancer, she worked with adults at Inova’s Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Program. Kiersten has worked at Inova since 2017 holding various social work positions in both inpatient and outpatient settings to address the psychosocial needs of patients with acute and chronic illnesses. She received her Master of Social Work degree from George Mason University. Kiersten is passionate about providing emotional support services to patients and families who are impacted by complex medical diseases and looks forward to furthering her clinical skills as a Therapist at LWC. In her spare time, Kiersten volunteers with Experience Camps, a weeklong summer camp for grieving children, enjoys international travel, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family.
