
Darah joined Inova Peterson Life with Cancer in 2008 and has functioned in a number of roles providing therapeutic support to pediatric and adult oncology patients in various settings including medical oncology clinics, the inpatient oncology unit, and at IPLWC’s Family Center. Darah has been in a leadership role since 2019 and presently manages the IPLWC team of Behavioral Health Therapists while also overseeing the development, implementation, and coordination of clinical programs to meet the educational and support needs of cancer patients and their family members. She regularly presents in both the community and on a national level and serves on an ACCC Advisory Board. Darah has almost 30 years of clinical experience, having worked in home-based counseling prior to transitioning to medical oncology social work. She maintains a private practice in Northern Virginia.
