A favorite among Catskill resort habitués and played incessantly by Eastern European immigrant women in the 1930’s, Mah Jongg is enjoying a resurgence through Mah Jongg social groups in many local Northern Virginia communities. In addition to being fun and social, playing the game provides a mental and physical rest from all of life's other concerns.
