The program is made possible through the work of practitioners who volunteer their time. Most of them arrive after a long day at work, and some come from a distance. In the interest of maintaining this programs and offering Reiki to as many people as possible, we ask that you follow the following guidelines for participation:   1. To make an appointment, register online at www.lifewithcancer.org. Appointments open on the FIRST MONDAY of each month, at 9:15 am. 2. Schedule only one appointment per month. An all-day conference focusing on late effects, individual risk, and healthy living after treatment for teens 17+ and young adult survivors and their parents. Keynote is Dr. Aziza Shad from Georgetown. Other speakers include Dr. Steven Hardy from Children's National Medical Center focusing on stress management, Darah Curran, LCSW from Life with Cancer, speaking on sleep interventions, and Alma Morgan, M.Ed. speaking on college/career success. Enjoy networking with survivors and other parents in dedicated break-out sessions and try Zumba, Reiki and Massage, or a Cooking/Nutrition Demo with Danielle Cook (author of "Happily Hungry: Smart Recipes for Kids with Cancer"). Apply for one of 20 college scholarships ($1000 each) to be awarded at the Conference.
